Dr. Boyer is a board-certified psychiatrist and practices telemedicine at the West Texas VA Health Care System. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Oklahoma in 1974, Post-Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology from 1977-1979, and received her J.D. from University of Oklahoma Law School in 1979. She received her M.D. from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1997 and completed her residency at Griffin Memorial Hospital in 2001.
Dr. Boyer is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the APA and has served on numerous professional committees including chair on the Senior Physicians Section Governing Council at the American Medical Association and the APA on the Board of Trustees. She served as Speaker of the Assembly from 2014-2015.
