Lecture: Treating Symptoms Comorbid with Psychosis in Schizophrenia
Dr. Lieberman is Professor of Psychiatry, Pharmacology and Radiology and Vice Chairman for Research in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He also serves as adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Radiology at Duke University School of Medicine and Director of the Mental Health and Neuroscience Clinical Research Center at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Lieberman's research has focused on the neurobiology and pharmacology of schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. It has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health (including Research Scientist Career and MERIT awards). He has edited or co-edited three books, including Textbook of Psychiatry. He also serves as an associate editor of several journals. Dr. Lieberman is the recipient of the APA's Kempf Award for Research in Psychobiology and NAMI's Exemplary Psychiatrist Award. He received his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed his postgraduate training in psychiatry at the St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York Medical College.
