Dr. Miskimen was the Vice President for Medical Services at University Behavioral Health Care in New Jersey and Professor of Psychiatry at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Rutgers University. She is a member of the editorial advisory board for Clinical Psychiatry News and served on the executive board of the American Society of Hispanic Psychiatrists and the advisory board for the National Resource Center for Hispanic Mental Health.
Dr. Miskimen is board certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, is a Distinguished Fellow of the APA and a past president of the New Jersey Psychiatric Association, and the current President of the APA (2025-26).
