Lecture Title: Lessons for Building Community: 27 Years of a Committee on Asian American Issues
Jacquelyn Chang, M.D., completed her medical degree and psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Francisco. Beyond her clinical work and teaching, she has dedicated her career to furthering education, mentorship, and community building for those interested in Asian American issues. She is past Chair of the APA Committee of Asian American Psychiatrists and past President of the APA Caucus of Asian American Psychiatrists. In 2026, she received the Kun-Po Soo Award for co-founding and chairing the long-standing Committee on Asian American Issues of the Northern California Psychiatric Society, which she has run since 1999.
