Lecture Title: Three Psychiatrist’s Perspectives on Phenomenology Human Nature Agency vs Automaticity Fee Will and Psychopathy
Gerado Villareal, M.D attended medical school at Universidad LaSalle in Mexico City and completed his psychiatry residency at the Institute of Living in Harford, CT. He pursued a research fellowship in anxiety disorders at MUSC in Charleston SC and CBT training at the Beck Institute. He is currently professor of Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and Director of Psychiatry Research at the Albuquerque VAMC. His areas of clinical and research interest include psychopharmacology, neurobiology and treatment of PTSD. Dr. Villarreal is also pursuing interests in philosophy of mind, agency and consciousness.
