2024 John Fryer Award Recipient
Lecture Title: Psychological Well-being and Positive Mental Health in LGB Adult
Robert Kertzner, M.D., Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University (Gender, Sexuality, and Health Research Area) and APA Distinguished Life Fellow, has contributed to LGB mental health research, clinical training, and teaching with a focus on HIV/AIDS mental health and well-being in LGB adults. He served as an initial member of the American Psychiatric Association Commission on AIDS, Training Director of a NIMH-funded postdoctoral fellowship in HIV Behavioral Sciences at Columbia University, and consultant to organizations advancing an understanding of human sexuality.
