Office of HIV Psychiatry
Since 1983, APA has been invested in HIV/AIDS initiatives and has been committed to advancing education and policies for improving the care and treatment of people living with this disease.
Established in 1991, the Office of HIV Psychiatry (OHP) has been responsible for managing the organization’s response to the HIV epidemic. This practice guideline summarizes data and assists the psychiatrist in caring for a patient with HIV/AIDS.
